Project Life: Week 16

Wow!  Another week gone by & another week documented!  I truly do LOVE this project!  Each week I wonder whether or not I will really want to put another week together, but I do.  This past week was one of our busiest weeks so far this year so I had no problem having enough pictures and “stuff” to put in my pages.  Last week I used Design E for the 1st time, so of course this week’s 1st page was the back of Design E.  I used Design F (one of my favorites!) on the right hand page.  Below is a shot of the entire layout.

Design E really allowed me to make “mini” layouts to share the girls’ choir performances, Sky’s zoo field trip, & having dinner with some of Chris’ family that we don’t get to see a lot.  I carried the theme throughout using shipping tags & green thickers.  I was pleased with how it turned out.

The right side of my layout has a mix of pictures from our time swimming at my parents’ time share this weekend, tags from clothes shopping with Skylar, & a picture of the book I read this past week.

I continue to love using the Martha Stewart labels and paper clips each week.

I included a picture and a bit of journaling about the passing of Dick Clark.  He was a huge part of my youth (I LOVED American Bandstand!) and I can’t imagine a New Year’s Eve without him.  I also included the sweet note that I received from my MeMe in the mail this week.  I slipped it into the mini chevron bag that I picked up from a store in Phoenix.  It fits perfectly into the journaling slot.

I got the “All Smiles” badge and the “Here & Now” badge shown above from Ormolu. I love their shop!!  The circle journal cards are from my stash.  I got them from Every Jot and Tittle years ago, but they have some great goodies, perfect for project life in stock!

Well, there you have it!  Another week done.  I have had several people ask how I print my instagrams.  I personally use Photoshop Elements.  It came with my printer that I bought in December.  I know that there are other options.  My recommendation is to google “how to print instagrams” and a lot of different options will pop up.

I’m looking forward to seeing the different pages linked up this week at The Mom Creative!  I didn’t get to visit many last week as I was so busy that I spent maybe a total of 1 hour on-line all week.  Make sure you go check out the awesome ladies that link-up!

  1. Wow! What a awesome PL layout! I love how the colors all coordinate. And I think I need to go hunt down those MS labels and crack out some colored paper clips–so cute!

  3. Hi Julie, what a great week, with all that swimming and spring sun, its late Autumn here, just a bit chilly at the moment, l love all the green that you used, one of my favourite colours, that book sounds interesting, is it a true story, thats really all l read, lm a bit slow today and have only just loaded my PL on to the creative mom now, its great that you got time to spend with your family, take care……kate

  4. Another great week – the kids all look so happy.

I love your layout. The idea of doing the 4 small layouts is a good idea, I might try that – I have never done traditional scrapping. Also like the badges – might have to get some of those.

    Thanks for sharing Julie.

  5. I love your mini layouts – I had great fun doing that a few weeks ago, and it’s great for when you have a special event or activity you want to document. I particulalry like the way you have united them using the tags and same letter stickers. Love the butterfly with the here and now badge – so perfect.
