Book Giveaway!

Shortly after I started my blog I heard about a book that had just been published.  Wit and Wisdom from the Parents of Special Needs Kids: Mostly True Stories of Life on the Spectrum includes essays from dozens of bloggers that have children with special needs. I was excited to get my hands on a copy as I love to read so many of their blogs. What I loved about reading this book was that I would get caught up in different stories and I would think “Wow!  I love this person’s writing style.”  Then I would turn the page and realize that it was someone’s blog that I already love to read so of course I love their writing style.  I also loved that I have found even more blogs to read and people to connect with.  This book made me laugh and cry.  I feel such a connection to so many of these writers due to the fact that many of the things they are going through I have been through as well.

Anyone who knows me knows that I LOVE to give people gifts.  It truly makes me happy!  So when I ordered my copy, I picked up a couple of extras to give away here on my blog.  I would like to specify that no one gave me these books and no one asked me to give these away.  I just want to give my awesome readers a chance to win a book written by some of my awesome new blog friends.  I’ve been overwhelmed by the support I have received since starting my blog.  I love sharing our story and my wish is that it will encourage you, give you hope, & make you laugh.

So here are a few ways you can earn a chance to win a copy of Wit and Wisdom:

1) Leave a comment with your name, where you are from, and what your favorite post has been here on I AM JUJU.

2) Receive an additonal entry if you subscribe to my blog.  You can do that in the upper right corner by hitting the “click here” button and entering your e-mail address.  By doing this you will receive a notification when I publish a new post.  *If you already subscribe to my blog and you leave a comment, you will automatically get an additional entry in the giveaway.*

  1. Haslet, Texas. I love your blog so much that it inspired me to start my blog back up. My favorite post was about Doctor Usman. It just shows the amazing person you are and how incredibly loyal you are to those you love. I adore you!

  2. You inspire me! I love your posts, my two favorite are about skylar’s first dance and your doctor. You have a gift, thank you for sharing.

  3. Lehi, UT “Not Just a Dance Part 2” ~~~I cried reading this one. I think that when our children (ESPECIALLY those with special needs) meet a milestone or do something we always wondered if they would get the chance to do, it touches the heart in no other way anything else can touch it. In a way I relate it to “spiking the ball”. It’s as though we made a awesome touchdown in the ongoing game of helping our children with special needs succeed. Seeing Skyler in her beautiful dress…and those shoes!!!! Awwww….I loved the shoes!! And hearing about her energy and dancing the night away. I felt as though I was right there with you guys, watching Skyler and cheering on this night for her. I didn’t want the night to end for any of you. It’s a beautiful story and I’m so glad that you wrote it all down and shared it with us.

  4. I love reading your posts! I love how you have been a wonderful champion for your daughters, and that you have not lost that “Best Friend” feeling for your husband. You truly inspire me, and make me smile 8) I live in that “autism” world, and reading your posts does help bring smiles from “our planet” into my days. Thanks for sharing!
